Night

So shivered these hours are,
each one rattling my frame a bit more

– like soil gone shaky
beneath a little cabin’s timbers

And up above,
orange cuts in night’s black blanket:

Stars are always being harvested

– Soon there will be none
by which to find oceans

Or escape them
